At the lodge, a seated fire pit area with marshmallows and ready made roasting sticks. At the river deck, a stone circle bonfire with rustic benches close to the river deck, with a stunning backdrop of the Papa cliffs, or, if you prefer a truly camp style experience, completely surrounded by nature, right on the waters’ edge. Each is set up, ready for you to light with plenty of firewood to use. |
 | Trout FishingShare fishing experiences with your children with complimentary use of small size spinning rods. Alternatively bring your own gear and make the most of your private access to this undisturbed fishing spot. (Fishing permit costs apply if you do not already hold one, but can be easily bought from Fish and Game website on the day). |
 | SwimmingRefresh with a swim or splash around in the water of the Rangitikei river. This beautiful stretch of water is exclusively yours as it winds around the lodge. |
 | CricketPlay cricket with family, friends or colleagues. Our specially laid strip is perfect for fun or more serious competition. Spectators will enjoy watching the game while relaxing on the deck. We supply the equipment, you bring the team. |
 | Farm walking tracksBreathe in the fresh air, take a gentle stroll along the river bank, enjoy the cool shade of the willows, traverse hilly paddocks, climb styles and cross bridges, spot farm animals and listen out for pheasants. Some of our farm walking tracks can be 1-2 hours of scenic views and varied terrain. |
 | CyclingExplore the farm, bring your mountain bikes and enjoy the scenery. There will be gates to open and shut and animals along the way as you ride alongside open paddocks on metalled tracks. Test your fitness and resilience with a steep climb to the top terrace, be rewarded by beautiful views on the way up and enjoy the downhill all the way back. For a closer and easier scenic farm ride (ideal for younger families) there is plenty of flat track around the lower terrace. |
